Tourist Rescued After 25ft Ravine Fall
A woman has been rescued after suffering a 25ft fall on the North Coast yesterday, Sunday 18 November.
The tourist was walking with family members in Cushendall, County Antrim when she tumbled an initial 10 feet down a grassy slop, followed by a further 15 feet.
Emergency services responded to the scene and personnel from the Coastguard, Fire and Rescue Service and Ambulance service attended the incident near Layde Castle ruins shortly after 4pm.
The two-hour operation resulted in the woman being placed on a stretcher and pulled to safety using a rope.
She is understood to have suffered multiple head and facial injuries as a result.

Man Rescued From River Lagan
A man has been rescued from the River Lagan in Belfast. At around 1.20pm on Friday, emergency services were called to the scene close to the Ormeau Bridge. It was reported a man had fallen into the river but when emergency services reached the scene the man had already been pulled to safety. He has been taken to hospital.

Dead man named following diving accident
A man who died following a diving incident in Co Antrim has been named. Adam Pollock, 31, from Ballymena Road in Ballymoney, was with three others when the incident occurred at Dunluce Castle, close to Portrush, on Saturday.

Two Teens Rescued From Rocks In Co Down
Two teenage girls have been rescued after being trapped on rocks in Bangor, Co Down. It is believed they had been stuck on the rocks for a number of hours. Emergency services were alerted just after 9pm on Tuesday, 04 April. Bangor Coastguard Rescue Team, the Coastguard Helicopter and Bangor RNLI Lifeboat were deployed.

A dramatic rescue was in progress this morning after a yacht with three people on board began taking in water after losing its rudder and suffering engine problems off the southern coast of Northern Ireland. Woman rescued from sixth floor fire
Fire fighters have rescued a woman from a sixth floor flat in north Belfast in the early hours of this morning. The fire in the Mount Vernon Estate flat, trapped the woman on the balcony. Fire fighters had to use a turntable ladder to reach the balcony and rescue the woman from the blaze.
