Sydenham Bypass Reopened After Crash

The Sydenham Bypass has reopened after a partial closure this afternoon, Friday 16 November, while emergency services dealt with a crash.

A car and a van are believed to have collided in the incident.

The road was closed to M3 bound traffic just after Dee Street, causing considerable traffic disruption.

Spice Girls Announce Dublin 2019 Date

The Spice Girls have announced they will perform at Croke Park in Dublin as part of their 2019 reunion.

The pop group are now a four-piece due to Victoria Beckham's decision not to return, and are set to embark on their first tour in 10 years.

Taking to social media on Friday 16 November, the girls announced an additional date for Dublin on 24 May next year, in a response to overwhelming demand.

Tickets will go on sale next Thursday, 22 November, at 9am.

The remaining four members, Emma Bunton, Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm and Geri Horner announced their come-back in a mock broadcast video on their new Twitter account earlier this month.

Blacks Road Belfast Park And Ride Spaces Double After £807,000 Extension

The number of spaces at a Belfast park and ride have more than doubled after an £807,000 extension.

The facility on Blacks Road will open the 307 new spaces on Monday 19 November.

As well as the additional parking space, Translink has introduced its new Urby express bus service that operates on a 10-15 minute frequency during peak periods and will run from the carpark.

The expansion takes the total number of spaces to over 550, and additional disabled parking bays and cycle parking facilities have also been provided.

Funding Unlocked For L'Derry's Vacant Spaces
Funding has been approved for a project to bring empty commercial space in the centre of L'Derry back into use. Announcing the funding, Social Development Minister Nelson McCausland said: "Like other town and city centres across Northern Ireland, Londonderry is suffering considerably as a result of the economic downturn.

Science Park To Officially Open In Derry
A new science park is to officially open for business later today, it has been announced. Located in L'derry, the North West Regional Science Park will see 23 tenants move to the site. The £12m facility is based on the former military site at Fort George, near the city centre. The science park consists of 50,000 sq ft of flexible workspace.

Belfast City Council is asking the public to vote for their favourite city park or open space to win a prestigious award. Seven Belfast parks and open spaces recently won a coveted Green Flag, the national excellence standard for parks management.

Appeal Issued After Suspected Hit-And-Run In L'Derry
Police in L'Derry have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a suspected hit-and-run road traffic collision in the city. Just after 8.30am on Sunday 26th November, police received a report that a man, aged in his 60s, had been taken to hospital shortly before 5.15am with significant injuries.
