Renewed Police Appeal In Ryan Macrae Murder Probe

Police have issued a fresh appeal for information relating to the suspected murder of 32-year-old Ryan Macrae, who died on Tuesday, 23 October.

Mr Macrae was assaulted on Sunday 14 October in Portaferry, County Down, and died 10 days later.

Police are urging anyone who witnessed the altercation on Church Street, just before 1am, to come forward.

They have also asked for anyone who was in the area, or who may have drove past around the time of the attack "to consider if they may have seen anything at all which could assist us with the investigation".

Two men, aged 19 and 28, were charged with Ryan's murder and appeared at Newtownards Magistrates Court on Thursday 25 October, before being granted bail to reappear back in court next month.
