Remand Prisoner On The Run From Custody

A prisoner awaiting sentencing for an attempted hijacking is unlawfully at large.

James Donegan, 30, did not return to custody on Monday 22 October after being granted compassionate bail by the court.

It is believed he is travelling across the L'Derry and Donegal areas and may be involved in further criminal activity.

He is described as being around 5'9" tall, of medium build with light brown hair.

Police have urged Mr Donegan to hand himself in to police without any further delay and asked anyone who knows his whereabouts not to approach him, but to contact the Reducing Offender Unit at Strand Road on 101 immediately.
