Teenager Charged Over Belfast Disturbance

Police have confirmed that an 18-year-old man has been charged following a disturbance in the Shankill area of Belfast on Friday, 12 October.

He is due to appear in court on Monday 15 October.

Three people were arrested at a house in Percy Street.

A woman and a man, who are both in their thirties, have been released on bail pending further enquiries after being arrested in connection with the same incident.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "An 18 year old man has been charged with two counts of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon. He is expected to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court this morning, Monday 15 October.

"As is usual procedure the charges will be reviewed by the PPS. The charges follow a disturbance in the Percy Street area of Belfast on Friday 12 October."

Teens Charged Over Belfast Disorder
Two teenagers have been charged with offences relating to disorder in north Belfast this summer. Trouble erupted in the New Lodge area of the city on 08 August when contractors were sent in to dismantle a bonfire. A violent stand off ensued before police withdrew and the pyre, which was located close to flats, was set alight as planned.

Man To Appear In Court Charged With Robbery In North Belfast
A man is to appear at Belfast Magistrates Court today, 19 April, charged with a robbery at an off-licence in north Belfast. The incident happened at premises on the Crumlin Road at around 7.35pm on Sunday. The man, armed with a knife, threatened staff and made off with a quantity of cigarettes and alcohol.
