Woman Dies In Co Down Road Crash

A woman has died following a road collision near Laurencetown in Co Down.

Cindy Greer, aged 58, died in hospital following the crash on the Banbridge Road.

Her Honda Civic collided with a Ford Transit van at around 5.30pm on Wednesday, 03 October.

The driver of the van was treated, however his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a serious road traffic collision in Newcastle, Co Down. The Ballagh Road has been closed and motorists are being advised to avoid the area. A PSNI spokesman said: "Motorists are advised that the Ballagh Road, Newcastle is closed due to a serious road traffic collision this afternoon.

Motorcyclist Dies In Race Crash
A motorcyclist has died following a crash in the Walderstown Road Races in Athlone. Bruce Moulds, 20, from Hillsborough, was taken to a hospital in Dublin on Sunday, but later died from his injuries. He was taking part in a race when he lost control of the bike and he crashed into a ditch.
