Republican Activity Probe In Belfast Leads To Two Arrests

Two men have been arrested as part of an investigation into dissident republican activity in Belfast.

It comes after overnight searches by the PSNI's Terrorism Investigation Unit in the north and west of the city.

The men, aged 39 and 43, were detained under the Terrorism Act and have been taken to Musgrave station for questioning.

A PSNI spokesperson said both men remain in custody at this time.

Men Released As Lurgan Terrorism Investigation Continues
Three men arrested during an anti-terrorism investigation in Lurgan have been released, the PSNI has reported. The men, aged 38, 45 and 52, were arrested on Thursday by officers from the PSNI's Terrorism Investigation Unit. A number of properties were searched during the operation and a number of items were removed for further examination.
