Primark In Talks To Buy New City Centre Building

Primark is considering two options for a new store in Belfast city centre.

The company's previous Belfast store at the Bank Building was destroyed in a major fire in August.

It is understood that the company is currently in talks with the owners of Fountain House on Donegall Place, the current home of New Look.

According to reports, building owners M&G Property Portfolio would be "willing to sell the building for close to £15m".

Primark owners are also said to be exploring the option of trading from Commonwealth House on Castle Street, which it already owns and was undergoing major renovation work at the time of the fire.
