Police Launch Investigation Following North Belfast Burglary

Police have launched an investigation after a house was burgled in North Belfast.

Three masked men armed with hammers forced their way into a home in Mill Valley late last night, Thursday 13 September.

The suspects made off with cash and a car, which was later discovered burnt out in the Ardoyne area.

Condemning those responsible, Sinn Féin Councillor Ryan Murphy said: "I condemn this attack which saw money and a car taken from a property in Mill Valley after which the car was found burnt out in the Ardoyne area.

"Mill Valley is a fairly quiet place and residents are shocked this has happened. Over the past couple of months there has been a number of car crimes and burglaries in the upper North Belfast area and I would urge the public to be vigilant at this time and to take necessary steps at the end of the day to ensure their homes are secure.

"There is currently a police investigation ongoing and I would appeal to anyone with information to bring it forward to the PSNI."
