Attempted Robbery At Falls Road Bookmakers
A man armed with a knife has attempted to rob a bookmakers on the Falls Road.
The suspect entered the premises at around 7.20pm on Monday, 11 September and later made off on foot, empty handed.
He has been described as 5ft 9", of medium build and was wearing a black puffa-type jacket and a white hat. He was also described as being aged in his mid 20s.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
Road Resurfacing Scheme To Start In Ballymena
Work is to begin on a £319,000 road resurfacing scheme in Ballymena.
The project on the A26 Seven Towers Roundabout will deliver significant improvements to both the structural integrity and surface of the junction and its approach roads.
The scheme will begin on Monday, 17 September and finish by Friday, 12 October. Diversions will be in place.
To facilitate the work, lane closures will operate daily from 9.30am to 4:30pm from 17 September to 01 October. The roundabout will also be closed each night from 7.00pm to 6.00am from 01 October to 05 October. In addition, the Antrim Road will be closed continuously from 9.30am on Tuesday, 02 October to 4.30pm on Friday, 05 October.
Coleraine Chairman Denies Reports Linking Derry City Manager To Club
Coleraine chairman Colin McKendry has denied reports linking Derry City manager Kenny Shiels to the club.
The Bannsiders have been searching for a new manager after Oran Kearney left to helm Scottish Premiership team St Mirren.
"We haven't spoken to Kenny," said McKendry.
"If the board decided that was worth pursuing we would do things the right way and speak to Derry City chairman Philip O'Doherty."
Other names linked with the Coleraine job include former Northern Ireland captain Steve Lomas, Institute manager Paddy McLaughlin and Dungannon Swifts chief Rodney McAree.

£65,000 Improvement Scheme For Cookstown
DRD Minister Danny Kennedy has announced the start of a £65,000 improvement scheme for Battery Road/Drumenny Road, Coagh, near Cookstown. The work is due to begin on Monday 9 September at the busy staggered crossroads on the B73 Battery Road and the B161 Drumenny Road, Coagh. Work will continue until early October 2013.
