Man Attacked With Iron Bar In L'Derry

An investigation has launched after a man was attacked by a gang armed with an armed bar in L'Derry.

The incident happened at an alleyway in the Cooke Street/Corporation Street area just after 10pm on Friday, 07 September.

The victim sustained a fractured eye socket and bruising to his body.

The three men were wearing dark clothing and had their faces covered with scarves.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

PSNI detective have issued an appeal for information following a report of an attempted armed robbery at premises at the Rathgael Road area of Bangor on Thursday 19th October. Making the appeal, Detective Sergeant Bell said: "Shortly after 9:20pm, it was reported that a man armed with a suspected firearm entered a takeaway in the area.

Amnesty International Condemns Govt Amnesty Proposals
British armed forces cannot be placed above the rule of law and accountability, Sinn Féin MLA Gerry Kelly has said. Mr Kelly has welcomed a submission by Amnesty International to the United Nations, which stated that the British government's amnesty proposals are "an utter betrayal of victims and must not become law".

Investigation Launched After Shots Fired In L'Derry
Police have launched an investigation after shots were fired in L'Derry on Friday, 21 May. A total of 12 masked men gathered in the Ardfoyle area and video footage circulating on social media showed the men firing shots into the air.
