Search Resumes For Man Missing On Lough Erne

Emergency services are continuing to search for a man missing on Lough Erne in Co Fermanagh.

The incident began at about 5.30pm on Sunday, 09 September. It is understood that two men were jetsking on the Lough when they were involved in an accident.

Emergency services responded to the incident in the water near Muckross Bay in Kesh. Enniskillen RNLI was already on the water, having attended an earlier call out and responded to the incident almost immediately. They were quickly joined by Carrybridge RNLI.

One of two men was rescued from the water, but searches for the second man are ongoing.

The PSNI boat and Irish Coast Guard helicopter Rescue 118 from Sligo are also involved in the air and water operation with the Fire and Rescue Service and Mountain Rescue involved from the shore.

Derry firm fined £4,000 for oil spill
A Londonderry firm has been fined £4,000 following an oil spill on their premises. Ardmore Precast Concrete Ltd from Balybogie Road in the city was found to have several large oil tanks immediately beside a stream which flowed into the River Faughan.
