Kyle Lafferty Signs Two-Year Contract With Rangers
Northern Ireland striker Kyle Lafferty has signed a two-year contract with Rangers.
Lafferty is to rejoin the team from Hearts after departing six years ago.
Speaking at a media conference Rangers manager Steven Gerrard said there is no risk in terms of him performing.
He said: "I believe we are a young squad, so he brings vital experience to us. He is a Rangers nut and I think he ticks all the boxes in what I am looking for in terms of what I want from a front man.
"We know we are quite bare up there without him, so that is why I want him.
"I was raw, I was experienced, made similar mistakes and got over excited – and I don't think there is anything wrong with that.
"I love that in a footballer, but of course, we want to channel it in the right direction. But I think with age and maturity, I got more experience, calmed down and simmered a bit. But, at the same time, I always tried to play on the edge and that is where top performances and important performances come from."
