Reports Of Man Trying To Lure Children Into His Car In North Belfast
An investigation has been launched following reports of a "male acting inappropriately towards children" in North Belfast.
SDLP Councillor for Oldpark, Paul McCusker, said that he had been contacted by concerned parents following incidents in Oldpark and Flax street on Monday, 20 August.
Mr McCusker said that he had made a report to the PSNI, who were investigating.
According to reports, four children, aged between six and 12, were approached by a man in two separate incidents who attempted to lure them into a vehicle.
It is understood that the man had a torch, which he used to attract the children's attention.
Parents have been urged to "be aware and report anything immediately to 101".

Man Arrested After Shots Fired In North Belfast
Police have arrested a man in connection with a shooting incident in north Belfast. It is understood that the 22-year-old man was arrested following reports of shots being fired on Oceanic Avenue at about 21:50 on Thursday. Police say that a parked car was damaged in the incident.

Police return to Garnerville College after gas alert
Officers and staff at the Garnerville Police Training College in east Belfast have been allowed to return to the building. The premises was evacuated just before 12pm today, following reports of a suspected gas leak.

Body of woman found in County Down
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a woman whose body was found at a house in Donaghadee, County Down, in the early hours of this morning. Detectives were called to the scene in the Barnagh Park area of the town shortly before 6am following reports of a fire.

Searches Continue Following Reports Of Man Falling Into River Lagan
A search operation is underway along the River Lagan at Belfast Harbour following reports that a man fell into the water on Thursday morning. Emergency services responded to reports of concern for a man's safety who had been seen close to Lagan Weir at about 10am on 01 March.
