Missing Alliance Councillor Found 'Safe And Well'

Missing Alliance councillor David Armitage has been found "safe and well" and is said to be "getting the help he needs".

Appeals were issued on social media for Mr Armitage after concerns were raised for his well-being.

Posting to her Twitter accounts, Alliance leader Naomi Long thanked everyone who helped search for Mr Armitage.

She wrote: "He has been found, is with me and getting the help he needs. All of you have proven how powerful Twitter can be and I am forever grateful."

The party also posted: "For all those searching and helping, David Armitage has been found safe and well, and is getting the help he needs. Thanks to all those who took the time to help in any way, shape or form. It's much appreciated from everyone in Alliance."

Alliance Party leader Naomi Long has appealed for information to help trace one of her councillors David Armitage. Mr Armitage represents part of east Belfast. Alliance Calls For Publication Of Welfare Mitigation Measures
Alliance Communities spokesperson Kellie Armstrong MLA has called for recommendations from the independent welfare mitigation measures to be published as soon as possible. Police Appeal Following Burglary In Magherafelt
Police are appealing for information following an aggravated burglary at the home of a woman in Ballyronan, Magherafelt. Cash and jewellery were stolen in the incident on Tuesday. Sergeant Sam Young said: "At about 11am, two men in a small blue van called at the house, which is on the road between Ballyronan and Toome.
