Petrol Bombs Thrown At Railway Crossing In Co Armagh

Police have issued an appeal for information after a number of petrol bombs were thrown at a railway crossing in Lurgan, County Armagh.

The PSNI said shortly after midnight on Tuesday, they received a number of reports about petrol bombs being thrown at the railway crossing at Lake Street.

Two people were seen running from the scene after "throwing two petrol bombs at the railway track".

It is understood the homemade bombs were thrown while the rail line barrier was down and the last train of the night had passed.

Police and the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene but the petrol bombs had burnt themselves out before they arrived. There are no reports of any damage caused to the track or barrier.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police.
