Police Appeal For Witnesses To Arson Attack On Lisburn House

A house has been badly damaged in an arson attack in Lisburn.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which occurred in the Iniscarn Close area at around 10.40pm on Saturday, 14 July.

The house was unoccupied at the time of the blaze.

Detective Constable O'Neill said: "Police attended, along with the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service attended who extinguished the blaze. There were no reports of any injuries, however, extensive damage was caused to the property.

"We are treating this as arson at this time, and our enquiries are continuing.

"I am appealing to anyone who was in the area around this time last night and saw any suspicious activity, or anyone who knows anything about this incident to contact detectives on Lisburn on the non emergency number 101, quoting reference number 1515 of 14/07/18.

"Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime."

Heavy Snow Closes Over 80 Schools
Over 80 schools across Northern Ireland have been closed as the heavy snow continues to cause disruption on Tuesday morning. Appeal For Information On Lisburn Arson Attack
PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information following a suspected arson attack on Lisburn. The blaze at the Montgomery Drive flat was reported to police at around 6.10pm on Wednesday 6 December. Colleagues from the NIFRS were able to extinguish the fire. No one was inside the home at the time.

Investigation Launched Following Arson Attack In Lisburn
Police have launched an investigation following an arson attack in Lisburn. The incident occurred in the Clontara Park area at around 1am on Wednesday, 16 November. Bins were set on fire and placed against the wall of a house. Emergency services attended the scene and put the blaze out. Damage was caused to the outside of the house.
