Appeal For Information Following Armed Robbery In Belfast

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following an armed robbery in Belfast City Centre.

According to reports, a man armed with a gun entered a shop on King Street at about 8.40pm on and threatened staff on Monday, 02 July.

The man, who is described as approximately 5'9'' tall, dark skinned and of slim build, fled the scene with an undisclosed sum of money.

There have been no reports of any injuries during the incident.

The suspect is said to have worn a dark-coloured coat with the hood up and sunglasses.

Anyone with information about the incident, or who may have witnessed the man in the King Street area, is asked to contact police at Musgrave Police Station on the non emergency number 101.

Detectives in North Belfast are appealing for information following an armed robbery in the Crumlin Road area on Tuesday evening. At approximately 7.45pm, a man armed with a suspected firearm entered a commercial premises. The man made off with a sum of cash and a quantity of cigarettes and he left on foot in the direction of Bilston Road.

Police in south Belfast have appealed for information following an armed robbery at a petrol station yesterday evening. The incident happened at around 10.30pm, when a man armed with a knife entered the premises in the Finaghy area of the Upper Lisburn Road, and threatened a member of staff.

Appeal Following Two Robberies In County Down
Police are appealing for information following two robberies in County Down. A man armed with a sword entered a food outlet in Ballykinler and threatened staff on Monday at around 10.20pm. However, he was chased by staff and made-off empty handed. In another incident an hour later a man armed with a sword robbed a service station in Castlewellan.
