Woman Arrested During Drug Deal In Belfast City Centre

An investigation has been launched after police intercepted a heroin deal taking place in Belfast City Centre.

According to reports, police witnessed a drug deal taking place between two women on King Street at the back of Castlecourt on Friday, 29 June

Police detained one of the women and recovered two wraps of heroin and cash.

A follow-up search was carried out at the woman's house in the New Lodge and more drugs were seized.

The woman was arrested in connection with the seizure and has since been bailed pending further investigations.

Many Arrests In Gardaí Drugs Raids
A total of 45 people have been arrested in the past 48 hours in Gardaí a crackdown on the sale and supply of heroin and 'crack' cocaine in the Dublin region.
