Suspected Drink Driver Caught After Collision In Larne

A suspected drink driver was among six people arrested following a crash in Larne.

Police alerted the vehicle to stop, however it crashed with six people inside the car, including the driver.

The occupants all made off on foot and they were caught a short time later.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "The driver has been arrested for driving while unfit through drink or drugs, dangerous driving, no insurance, L driver unaccompanied and failing to stop for police. I was shocked to see six persons in this car and amazed no one was injured or killed."

The driver has been detained in police custody.

Drink Driver Threatens Police Officer
Police have told of how information from the public led to the arrest of a drink driver in County Tyrone. Tip-offs from several members of the public led to an altercation in the Coolnafranky area of Cookstown on Monday night, 26 August.
