Man Injured In Punishment-Style Attack In East Belfast

A man is receiving hospital treatment following a punishment-style attack in east Belfast.

The assault happened near the Comber Greenway at around 6.30pm on Tuesday, 12 June.

A gang of men with hammers, bats and knuckledusters were involved, according to the PSNI.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

The 47-year-old, who was charged at the weekend with possessing and concealing criminal property but who denies the charges, appeared by video link from Maghaberry Prison and spoke only to confirm his name.

Man Stabbed During Attack In East Belfast
A man, aged in his 40's, has been stabbed during an attack in east Belfast. The victim was chased by a number of men from the Killagan Bend in the Cregagh area area, heading towards the Greenway just after 11 pm on Monday, 03 May. He was stabbed in the back and the head. The victim remains in a stable condition in hospital.

Man Injured In Paramilitary-Style Attack In East Belfast
A man in his 20's has been injured after being attacked by four men with baseball bats in east Belfast. The assault happened at a property in the Strone Park area of Dundonald at around 10pm on Monday, 27 November. The victim was taken to hospital to be treated, however his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Man Charged In Connection With East Belfast Attack
A man has been charged in connection with an attack which happened on 06 March in east Belfast. A 32-year-old male was assaulted in the Templemore Avenue area and sustained serious head injuries. The suspect has been charged with grevious bodily harm (GBH) and is to appear before Belfast Magistrates' Court on Friday, 14 October.

Man Suffers Burns In East Belfast Arson Attack
A man has suffered burns to his hand following an arson attack at a house in east Belfast. The attack happened in the My Lady's Road area at around 4am on Wednesday, 20 April. A container with flammable liquid was set outside the front door of the property and set alight. The front porch was damaged and the man was treated at the scene.
