Appeal For Information On Attempted Aggravated Burglary In Dundonald
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information after a woman and a man were assaulted during an aggravated burglary in Dundonald in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
According to reports, a woman aged in her 50s and a man, aged in his 30s, were inside a flat on Drumadoon Drive when they saw four men approaching shortly before 4am.
One of the men is understood to have been armed with a hammer while a second man is believed to have been carrying a metal pipe.
The woman was punched in the face as the men tried to force their way into the flat. The man inside the property also suffered cuts to his head and arms.
Police said: "Detectives are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone with any information which could assist with our investigation to contact them at Lisburn on 101 quoting reference number 170 29/05/18.
"Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime."

A Co Fermanagh man has suffered a broken nose after being assaulted by two men at his home in Enniskillen. The 65-year-old man was confronted by two men who forced their way into his home on Sunday. They then assaulted him before robbing his home. It is understood that a sum of money was taken during the robbery.

Pair charged over drug seizure
Two men have been charged with drugs offences after drugs worth an estimated £300,000 were seized by police. The drugs were found in a car stopped on the M2 on Saturday. One man, aged 56, and another, aged 24, have been charged with posession of a class A drug and posession of a class A drug with intent to supply.

A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a report of an assault at licenced premises at the Rathfriland Road area of Dromara. Detective Inspector Bell said: "Shortly before 10:10pm on Friday 15th December, it was reported that an altercation occurred at a bar in the area following three men refused entry to the premises.
