Hundreds Of New Homes To Be Developed In Co Down
Approximately 50 construction jobs are to be created as part of a £50million project to develop 900 new homes in Comber, Co Down.
Northern Ireland homebuilders Hagan Homes has started construction work on the first phase of the 'Enler Village' site on the Newtownards Road, which includes the development of 17 new homes.
Work on the first phase is expected to be completed in December this year.
The overall project will see a total of 900 three and four-bedroom homes being built as well as a business park, nursing home, sheltered accommodation, creche and retail units.
Additional features include linked pedestrian facilities with Comber Town Centre, a decorative focal monument on Coarse Hill and extended saltmarsh.

Construction Work Starts On £3.5m Development In East Belfast
Construction work has started on 28 new homes in the Dundonald area of east Belfast. Hagan Homes is developing the new houses in the Comber Road area and the scheme is expected to be completed by Spring 2019. 50 construction jobs are to be created and Phase 1 of the development is scheduled for completion later this year.

£2.4m Belfast Housing Scheme Launched
A new £2.4m social housing scheme has been launched at Queen Victoria Gardens in north Belfast. The development will consist of 22 homes and will be built by Trinity Housing with part funding from the Northern Ireland Executive.

Limavady 'Arson' Attacks Injure Two
Police are probing a possible link between two separate fires in rural Limavady at the weekend. One of the suspected arson attacks left a local man suffered burns to his back and legs after his shed caught fire and he tried to save his motorcycle from the flames.

McCausland Visits £1.1m Housing Development
Social Development Minister Nelson McCausland has visited a recently completed, £1.1m housing development in Monkstown. The 12 family homes at Ards Drive have been developed by Connswater Homes with part funding from the Northern Ireland Executive. All homes have been allocated to families from the social housing waiting list.
