Hatfield Bar Reopens Following Police Search

The Hatfield Bar in south Belfast has reopened following a search operation by the PSNI and customs officers.

Four PSNI land rovers, a police van and three HMRC cars arrived at the Ormeau Road site just before 12 noon on Monday, 14 May.

A spokesperson for the Hatfield Bar said: "The PSNI attended our premises today as part of a multi agency approach to ensure compliance with NI licensing law provisions.

"PSNI officers have informed us that we are one of a number of licensed premises in the city who are being visited.

"In order to facilitate a timely and effective process for PSNI we agreed to close for a few hours.

"We are now open for business as usual."
