Police Dealing With Co Tyrone Security Alert

A number of residents have been evacuated from their homes in the Moygashel area of Co Tyrone following a security alert.

On Twitter, the PSNI said: "Police are currently dealing with a security alert in the Moygashel area.

"No roads are currently affected but some residents have been evacuated from their homes as a result of this. There are no further details at this time."

A number of residents were evacuated from their homes after a pipe bomb was discovered in Co Antrim. Police launched a security alert after the viable object was found in Hollybrook Crescent in Newtownabbey on Monday, 14 December.

East Belfast Security Alert Ends
A security alert in east Belfast has now ended. The alert happened after a suspicious object was discovered in the Medway Street area on Thursday. The pipe-bomb device was made safe and removed, according to the police. Residents evacuated from their homes returned at around 10pm.
