Incident In North Belfast Between Police And Youths Investigated
The Police Ombudsman's Office has issued an appeal for information following an "altercation" between police officers and a group of youths in north Belfast last week.
A statement issued by the Ombudsman's reads: "A member of the public, who was parked in traffic on the Oldpark Road near the junction with Rosapenna Street, said she witnessed what appeared to be an altercation between one of the officers and around five to seven youths between the ages of 14 and 17.
"The incident took place at hoardings near shops in the area at around 6pm on Tuesday 24 April. An unmarked police car was in attendance and youths were seen with a number of pallets nearby.
"Investigators are asking anyone who was involved in, or who witnessed the incident, to call the Police Ombudsman's Witness Appeal Line on 07771510920."

Police Vehicle Contracts Arrest - Man Released
A 54-year-old member of police staff who was arrested in County Antrim as part of ongoing investigations into the awarding of vehicle contracts has been released. The man was arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office and has been taken to a police station in Belfast for questioning.
