Dungannon House Fire Believed To Have Been Started Deliberately

An investigation has been launched into a suspected arson attack in Dungannon.

A house in the Parkanour Road area has been completely destroyed in a fire in the early hours of this morning, Thursday 03 May.

There are no reports of any injuries and it is understood that the house was unoccupied at the time.

Police have said that they believe that the fire was started deliberately. They have appealed for anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the Parkanaur Road area to contact police in Dungannon on 101.

Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.

A woman in her 30s has died in a fire at a house in Newtownards, Co. Down. The fire occurred at a house in Ilex Avenue at around 5.30pm and the woman is reported to have died at the scene. An investigation into the circumstances of the death is being conducted by police who have appealed for anyone with information to come forward.

A man aged in his 50s has died in a house fire in Magherafelt, Co L'Derry An investigation has been launched into the cause of the fire at a house on Highfield Road, however police said that they don't believe the fire was suspicious. The man's identity has not yet been released.

Man Dies In County Antrim House Fire
A man in his 50's has died following a house fire in County Antrim. The incident took place on the Carlane Road near Tommebridge on the evening of Wednesday 14 November. Police received a report of the fire shortly after 8pm. The man was taken to hospital for treatment but died soon after.
