Kate Middleton Gives Birth To Baby Boy

Her Royal Highness, the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton, has given birth to a baby boy.

The Duchess was admitted to Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital early on Monday morning.

Posting to Twitter, Kensington Palace, said that the latest additional to the Royal Family "was safely delivered at 1101hrs".

They continued: "The baby weighs 8lbs 7oz. The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well."

Baby strangled following birth
The High Court has deferred a bail application for Fermanagh woman Wendy Johnston, 34, who is accused of murdering her newly born son. The details of the allegations against Ms Johnston came to light during bail application proceedings. It is alleged that she had strangled her son after giving birth on her living room sofa.
