Hopes fade as search for missing boy is scaled down
The Coastguard have scaled down their search for a 14-year-old boy who was swept out to sea at the weekend.
It is now over 24 hours since teenager Jordan Murdoch fell from a pier in Killough, Co Down during bad weather on Sunday.
Hopes of finding Jordan alive are now considered remote.
A second boy, aged 12, was being treated in Downe hospital, Downpatrick after suffering from the effects of shock and hypothermia after he was pulled from the water following an attempt to rescue his friend.
Around 60 people have been involved in the search operation which has also included lifeboats from Newcastle and Portaferry as well as an Irish Coastguard helicopter.
The alarm was raised just after lunchtime on Sunday, however poor weather in the area has hampered the search effort.
