Two Men Arrested Under Terrorism Act In L'Derry

Two men have been arrested under the Terrorism Act in Co L'Derry.

Several items were seized following searches in the area on Wednesday, 21 March.

They have been taken away for further examination.

The men have been detained in police custody.

Two Men Arrested Under The Terrorism Act In L'Derry
Two men have been arrested in L'Derry under the Terrorism Act, by officers from the PSNI's Terrorism Investigation Unit. The men, aged 38 and 47 years old, have been taken to the Serious Crime Suite at Musgrave Police Station in Belfast for interview.

Three Men Arrested In Lurgan Under Terrorism Act
Officers from the PSNI's Terrorism Investigation Unit have arrested three men during a series of search operations in Lurgan, County Antrim. The men, aged 38, 45 and 52, were arrested under the Terrorism Act as part of an investigation into violent dissident republican activity. A number of items were also seized during the search operations.

Two Men Arrested Over Ronan Kerr Murder Released
Two men, who were arrested in connection with the murder of PSNI Constable Ronan Kerr, have been released unconditionally. Constable Kerr was killed by a booby-trap car bomb in Omagh in April 2011. A 27-year-old man was arrested in Omagh and a 40-year-old male was brought into police custody from prison.

Man Arrested Following Search Of West Belfast House Released
A 42-year-old man who was arrested following the search of a house in west Belfast has been released unconditionally. The man was detained after officers carried out the search of an address in Moyard Crescent on Monday, 07 August. A number of houses were evacuated during the search.

Four Men Released Over Lyra McKee Murder
Four men arrested in connection with the murder of Belfast journalist Lyra McKee have been released pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service (PPS). The men, aged 36, 39, 45 and 63, were arrested under the Terrorism Act earlier this week. The investigation is ongoing.
