Man Found In Moneymore Sustained Gunshot Wound To His Head

A man found injured in Moneymore in L'Derry has sustained a gunshot wound to his head, according to the police.

The 22-year-old victim was discovered slumped in a vehicle in the Carndaisy Road area at around 9.50pm on Friday, 09 March.

He is currently being treated in hospital.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

The 22-year-old man who was shot in the head in Co Londonderry earlier this week has died. Darren Thompson, from Harkness Gardens in the Waterside, was found lying at the roadside in Woodburn Park on Wednesday morning with a bullet wound to the head.

Police investigating the attempted murder of a man who was found slumped in a car with a gunshot wound to his head in Moneymore have made a fresh appeal for information. The incident happened on the Carndaisy Road at around 9.50pm on Friday, 09 March. The 22-year-old man was discovered by a passer-by inside a blue BMW.

Stomach Wound Killed Bar Brawl Victim
The trial of the man accused of killing Short Strand man, Robert McCartney has heard that a single stomach wound killed the victim. Belfast Crown Court heard yesterday from the Deputy State Pathologist, Dr Alistair Bentley, who conducted a post mortem on Mr McCartney in February 2005.

Man found with bullet wound to head
A man has been found with a bullet wound to his head in Co Londonderry this morning. He was found lying at the roadside in Woodburn Park in the Waterside area of Londonderry at around 7.30am and was immediately taken to Altnagelvin Hospital where his condition has been described as "critical".
