Investigation Launched After Woman Drags And Strikes Child In Armagh

Police have launched an investigation following reports that a woman dragged and struck a child in Armagh.

The incident happened at Market Street in the Markethill area at around 12.15pm on Monday, 05 March.

The woman has been described as aged 50 to 60 years old with mid length black hair. She was wearing a blue fleece puffa jacket, blue trousers and black rimmed spectacles.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "We know that a number of people seen this incident, and would would ask that anyone with information who can help us identify the female and child contact us on 101 quoting ref 576 5/3/18.

"Most important thing is that we can check on the welfare of the child."

A woman has been found unconscious on a road in County Down. The woman, aged in her 50s, was discovered on the Sheepland Road at around 4.30am on Sunday. She was taken to hospital where she is believed to be in a serious condition.

Elderly Woman Robbed In Co Down
An elderly woman has been robbed in Bangor, Co Down. The incident happened in Castle Park on Monday, 13 June. A man stole the lady's purse and made off in the direction of Abbey Park. The suspect is being described as very tall, and was wearing a black hooded top with blue markings. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Convicted Child Killer Robert Black Dies In Prison
Convicted child killer Robert Black has died in Maghaberry Prison near Lisburn, aged 68. Black was serving 12 life sentences for murdering four young girls in the 1980s. He was also suspected of other killings. In 2011 he was given another life sentence for the abduction and murder of Jennifer Cardy.
