Karol Kelly Murder: Police Given Extra 36 Hrs To Question Two Men
Police investigating the murder of a man in Co L'Derry have been granted an additional 36 hours to question two men.
Karol Kelly, aged 35, was stabbed to death during a fight between a group of men in Grafton Street in the Rosemount area at around 2.40am on Sunday, 04 March.
Two men, aged 19 and 20, have been detained in police custody.
A 27-year-old man who was arrested has been released on bail.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
SDLP Foyle MLA Mark H Durkan said: "This city is waking up to tragic news this morning. A family and an entire community has lost a loved one in the most shocking of circumstances.
"My thoughts and the thoughts of my colleagues are with the man's family and friends at this incredibly difficult time. I know the victim and his family and I have no doubt that the local community will rally around them and offer any support they can in the days and weeks ahead."

Three Arrested In Connection With Ballymena Murder
Police are treating the death of a 69-year-old man from Ballymena as murder. The victim was discovered in the Drumtara area on Tuesday afternoon. Two men, aged 41 and 49, and a woman, 47, have been arrested and are in police custody. Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

A man aged in his 50s has died in a house fire in Magherafelt, Co L'Derry An investigation has been launched into the cause of the fire at a house on Highfield Road, however police said that they don't believe the fire was suspicious. The man's identity has not yet been released.

Pair charged over drug seizure
Two men have been charged with drugs offences after drugs worth an estimated £300,000 were seized by police. The drugs were found in a car stopped on the M2 on Saturday. One man, aged 56, and another, aged 24, have been charged with posession of a class A drug and posession of a class A drug with intent to supply.

Four Men Arrested Over Explosive Device In West Belfast Released
Four men arrested in connection with an explosive device in west Belfast last year have been released from custody. The device was found in the Pantridge Road area on 30 October. Three men arrested under the Terrorism Act have been released unconditionally.
