Schools Closed Following Heavy Snowfall Overnight
A number of schools have been closed following heavy snowfall overnight in Northern Ireland.
Drivers are being urged to allow extra time for their journeys.
A number of bus and rail services are not operating and the public have been advised to expect delays.
The M1 and A1 are currently down to one lane in each direction.

A number of flights have also been affected out of Belfast International and George Best Belfast City Airport.
A yellow weather warning for snow and ice has been put in place until midnight on Saturday, 03 March.

Security Alert In L'Derry
A security alert has been sparked in L'Derry following the discovery of a suspicious object. The alert at the Eastway/Laburnum area was raised following discovery of the device. A number of residents have been evacuated. An army bomb disposal team is attending the scene and diversions are in place.

Number Of Roads Remain Closed Following Storm Ali
A number of roads remain closed across Northern Ireland following the damage caused by Storm Ali. The following roads are still closed, however the Department for Infrastructure (DfI) is working to clear the obstructions along with its multiagency partners.

New Ballyhackamore Restaurant Damaged In Gas Explosion
Part of the Upper Newtownards Road in east Belfast remains closed following a gas explosion on Wednesday, 08 August. Three fire crews and up to 16 ambulances responded to reports of an explosion "like a car bomb" in Ballyhackmore just before 4pm. The incident was discovered to be a gas explosion at the new Clay Oven Indian restaurant.

All NI Schools Are Eco-Schools - Durkan
All schools in Northern Ireland are now Eco-Schools, the Environment Minister has confirmed. Minister Mark H Durkan was speaking at the Eco-Schools National Operators Meeting (NOM), an annual global conference, coordinated by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE).
