Investigation Launched Following Armed Robbery In West Belfast

An investigation has been launched following an armed robbery in west Belfast.

A staff member was threatened by a man with a suspected firearm at premises in the Caffrey Avenue area at around 9.30pm on Tuesday, 27 February.

The suspect made off with a sum of cash and cigarettes.

He is described as being aged in his late 20s or early 30s, of slim build and approximately 5' 6" tall.

He was wearing dark trousers, a dark top and a dark coloured monkey hat.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Shop Worker Threatened With Knife In West Belfast Robbery
A female shop worker has been threatened with a knife during a burglary in west Belfast. The incident happened in the Lanark Way area in the early hours of Friday, 27 April. A man held the knife to a member of staff and demanded her to open the till. He left the shop and also threatened another worker.

Armed Man Threatens Staff In West Belfast
A man, believed to have been armed with a hammer, threatened staff at a shop in west Belfast. The incident happened at premises in the Springfield Road area at around 7.40pm on Saturday, 23 September. The suspect was wearing a dark jacker and a dark hat. He demanded money and made off with a sum of cash. No-one was injured in the incident.

A suspected firearm and large quantity of suspected Class B drugs have been seized by the PSNI during a major search operation in L'Derry and Antrim. Led by North West Criminal Investigation, the operation involved three searches at addresses in L'Derry and a fourth search at an address in Antrim on Monday, 17 June.

County Armagh pensioner robbed by gang
Police have appealed for information after a pensioner was robbed by a gang in her home in County Armagh. A spokesperson for the PSNI said that a gang of up to six men broke into the home of a woman aged in her early 80s, by forcing their way through a front window of her home in the Bessbrook area at around 7pm yesterday evening.
