New Open To Export Webinar Announced

The Institute of Export & International Trade have announced a new Open to Export webinar, to cover the essentials of customs declarations and duties to help businesses ensure that they export and import without unexpected costs or delays.

Customs formalities are a major part of international trade; any goods which leave, enter or pass through a country will be subject to customs clearance procedures.

Though the UK is currently in a customs union as part of the EU, this may not be the case for much longer. Should the UK leave the customs union, the customs requirements for businesses selling into Europe will increase significantly.

On the panel are Arne Mielken from Amber Road, Dr Anna Jerzewska from the Institute of Export & International Trade, and David Macmillan from Bollore Logistics.

The session will cover:

• the potential impact on your business of not being compliant

• how to use tariff codes to find out what duties apply

• how 'Country of Origin' rules work

• how a logistics company can help you stay on top of it all

Registration for the webinar is open now.
