House Searches Carried Out Over Murder Of Raymond Johnston
A number of house searches have been carried out in connection with the murder of Raymond Johnston.
Mr Johnston, aged 28, was fatally shot in the Glenbawn Avenue area in Poleglass shortly before 8pm on Tuesday, 13 February.
Two properties in Poleglass and the New Lodge Road were searched by police on Saturday, 17 February.
A number of items have been taken away for further examination.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

A number of searches have been carried out at premises in west Belfast on Monday, 12 June. The PSNI's Terrorism and Investigation unit carried out the searches in the Falls Road area. They were in connection with ongoing dissident republican activity in Belfast.

Two arrested during police searches
Police investigating a robbery at a sub-post office in Melmount Road area of County Tyrone on Monday October 9, have carried out a number of searches in west Belfast. One man was arrested and a vehicle and a quantity of ammunition were seized. Detectives also carried out a number of searches in the Strabane area.

Police Appeal Following Spate Of Burglaries In Co Down
Police believe a spate of burglaries in the Co Down area may be linked. Three men were disturbed during two break-ins in Warrenpoint and Mayobridge on Friday, 29 December. It is thought the suspects may have been seen in Kilkeel and Mayobridge on the same evening.

Appeal Over Missing Broughshane Man
Police have appealed to the public for help in tracing the whereabouts of a man from Broughshane, Ballymena, County Antrim. Geoffrey Adams, who is 53 years old, was last seen at Antrim Area Hospital on the afternoon of Sunday 8 February. Police have described him as 5' 9", very thin, bald with a grey beard, crooked teeth and a crooked nose.

A world-renowned cancer scientist has been appointed as the new President and Vice-Chancellor of Queen's University, Belfast. Professor Patrick Johnston, who is Dean of the School of Medicine, Dentistry and Biomedical Sciences at Queen’s, will take up post early in 2014.
