Delivery Driver's Car Set On Fire In Co Down

Police have launched an investigation after a delivery driver's car was set on fire while he was sitting in the vehicle in Co Down.

The man, aged in his 40s, was delivering food to a house in Fairfield Place in Newtownards when the attack happened at around 10.45pm on Tuesday, 06 February.

Two men approached his car and used a flammable liquid to set it alight.

The victim was not injured, however his car was badly damaged.

Police are treating the attack as attempted murder and are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Man Released After Car Set On Fire In Co Armagh
A man arrested after a car was set alight in Co Armagh has been released. The incident happened in the Drumgor Heights area in Craigavon at around 9pm on Wednesday. A number of masked men smashed the window of a car, threw a device in and set it on fire in Co Antrim. The attack happened in the Castle View area of Glenarm just before 12.30am on Friday, 28 July. The fire spread to a second vehicle and the men made off in the direction of the sea front.

Car Set On Fire In Dunmurry
A vehicle has been set alight in a suspected arson attack in Dunmurry, Co Antrim. The car, a blue Peugeot 107, was set on fire at Yew Tree Walk in the early hours of Saturday morning. Police believe the attack is a hate crime after sectarian graffiti was found close to the incident. Another car, which was parked close by, was also damaged.
