Translink Supports Love Lisburn Campaign
Translink is offering passengers one third off Ulsterbus and Goldline day return travel after 9.30am every day until further notice to support the Love Lisburn campaign.
Love Lisburn was developed in 2017 by Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council to promote economic growth in the area.
Alderman Allan Ewart, MBE, Chair of the Development Committee at Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council, said: "We are delighted with the interest shown by local businesses in support of the Love Lisburn campaign and we’d encourage others to talk to us about becoming a partner."
Emma Isaac, Service Delivery Manager at Translink said: "We are pleased to be supporting the Love Lisburn initiative and would encourage customers to take advantage of our third-off bus travel offer. Travelling by public transport offers customers relaxing great value journeys and is a convenient way to reach local shops, cafes, restaurants and other attractions around the City."

Lisburn City Council will host its annual 'Meet the Buyer' event on the 4th September at Lagan Valley Island and will take place from 8.00am until 2.00pm. T his event will provide an opportunity to explore new sourcing and public procurement opportunities within the NI Public Procurement Sector.

Lisburn To Get 2011 Housing Boost
There was good news for the building trade this week as the NI Social Development Minister Alex Attwood announced that over 140 new homes are to be built for the Lisburn area. The development will be the largest social housing scheme to start this financial year, providing 124 family houses and 22 apartments for those in urgent housing need.

Council Launches Community Planning Consultations
Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council has organised a series of community engagement sessions to take place across the area to give local communities the opportunity to shape a Community Plan for public services in the new Council area. The first event will be held on 27 July in Dromara Hall from 7-9pm.
