Man Injured In Paramilitary-Style Attack In West Belfast

A 39-year-old man has been injured in a paramilitary-style shooting in west Belfast.

The victim was shot in both ankles in the Glenalina Gardens area just after 9.30pm on Tuesday, 30 January.

He was taken to hospital to be treated.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Sinn Féin MLA Pat Sheehan said: "This comes only days after another shooting in the area and the community wants these attacks to end immediately.

"Anyone with information about this attack should bring it forward to the police."

Man Injured In Paramilitary Style Shooting In L'Derry
A 40-year-old man has been injured in a paramilitary style attack in Co L'Derry. The incident happened at Culdaff Gardens at around 10.35pm on Monday, 29 August. The victim was shot in both ankles, however his injuries are not believed to be life threatening. Four masked men are believed to have been involved in the shooting.

Man Hospitalised In Belfast Shooting
A man has been taken to hospital after being shot in both legs in North Belfast. The incident in the Antrim Road area took place at around 10.15pm on Wednesday 31 May. Cordons were put in place around the area and police are appealing for anyone with relevant information to contact 101 quoting reference number 2345 of 31/05/23.

An Alliance Councillor has condemned a shooting at a house in County Tyrone as "an outrageous attack". A woman escaped injury after a shotgun was reportedly fired at a house in the Millbrook Gardens area of Castlederg on Friday evening, 07 June.

Appeal Follows Belfast Shooting
The PSNI are seeking help from the public after a shooting in the Dunmurry area last night. Police said the victim was found at about 11.20pm and have appealed for anyone with any information about what happened to come forward. The man is being treated in hospital after being shot in both legs.

Strabane Shooting Condemned
A 24-year-old man is recovering in hospital after being shot in both legs in a paramilitary style attack on Monday evening. A local politician, SDLP West Tyrone Westminster candidate Joe Byrne (pictured) has condemned the shooting: "This was an undemocratic attack on the people of Strabane.
