Man Arrested After Van Crashes Into House In Co Down

A man, aged 27, has been arrested on suspicion of a number of offences including dangerous driving after a van crashed into a house in Co Down on Sunday, 28 January.

The crash happened on the Clare Road in Waringstown.

A pensioner sustained minor cuts to her head and arm and was also treated for shock.

A Citreon Berlingo van crashed into an external wall of the property at around 9pm.

The suspect has also been arrested on suspicion of driving with excess alcohol on his breath and failing to remain at the scene.

He is to appear in court in Armagh on 20 February.

Pensioner Injured After Van Crashes Into House In Co Down
A pensioner has been injured after a van crashed into a house in Co Down. The collision happened on the Clare Road in Waringstown at around 9pm on Sunday, 28 January. A Citreon Berlingo van crashed through an external wall into the kitchen of the house. The woman, aged in her early 70's, sustained minor cuts to hear head and arm.

19-Year-Old Arrested Over Pedestrian Death
Police have arrested two men in connection with the death of a pedestrian in Belfast. It follows an incident on the Malone Road in south Belfast at about 02:00 on Wednesday morning in which an 18-year-old man died. He was involved in a collision with a white coloured Renault van close to Elm Village.

Two Arrested After Car Crashes Through Wall In L'Derry
Two men have been arrested after a car crashed through a wall at a primary school in L'Derry. The incident occurred just before 7.30am at St Eithne's Primary School on the Springtown Road. No-one is believed to have been injured. A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving while unfair and dangerous driving.
