Teen Arrested After Cars Damaged In Carrickfergus

A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of a number of offences including possession of an offensive weapon and several counts of criminal damage in Carrickfergus.

The 17-year-old suspect was detained following reports that a man was damaging cars with a knife in the Carnrawsy Walk area on Saturday, 27 January.

He made off in the direction of Northlands and is assisting police with their enquiries.

The PSNI are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

'Mini-tornado' hits Carrickfergus
A number of houses were damaged in Carrickfergus last night after what local residents described as a mini-tornado swept through the town. Tiles were stripped off roofs and cars were tossed about as freak winds hit the Thorndene Park area at around 9pm.

Man Arrested After Cars Damaged In South Belfast
A man has been arrested after reports of vehicles being damaged in south Belfast. Four cars were damaged in University Avenue, Dudley Street, the Cloisters and Rugby Avenue on Thursday, 31 August. A 25-year-old man has been arrested and is helping police with their enquiries. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Tesco To Cut Opening Hours At Four Stores In NI

Carrickfergus Bar Damaged In Fire
A bar in Carrickfergus, Co Antrim, has been badly destroyed in an overnight fire. More than 30 firefighters tackled the blaze at Ownies Bar and Bistro which started just before 2am on Tuesday.
