Two Men Injured In Separate Shooting Attacks In Belfast
Two men have been seriously injured in separate shooting attacks in Belfast on Sunday, 28 January.
A 41-year-old man was shot in both legs and an arm in the Divismore Park area of Ballymurphy in west Belfast.
Elsewhere, a 26-year-old man was shot in the legs in the Upper Meadow Street area in north Belfast.
Both men are receiving hospital treatment.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
Sinn Féin MP Paul Maskey condemned the shooting of a man in the Ballymurphy area.
He said: "These gruesome, anti-community and violent attacks must stop immediately.
"Anyone with information about this attack should bring it forward to the police."
Sinn Féin Councillor JJ Magee said: "These brutal attacks have a damaging impact on our entire city and must stop immediately."
SDLP Deputy Leader Nichola Mallon MLA said: "These savage attacks are carried out by cowardly gangs seeking to coerce and control our communities through fear and violence. To stand up to it we must all break the silence that allows these people to get away with it. These brutal attacks were unjustifiable in the past. They are unjustified now. To help stop these attacks people must come forward with information to the police."

Second Shooting Follows 'Critical' Wounding
A man who was shot in the legs by three men wearing balaclavas who forced their way into a house in Brompton Park in the Ardoyne area on Monday night is critically ill in the Royal Victoria hospital. He was wounded about 10pm in what a police spokesman said appeared to be a paramilitary-style shooting.

PSNI Appeal For Information About West Belfast Shooting
The PSNI have appeal for witnesses to or any one with any information about a shooting incident in west Belfast on Wednesday night. A man was shot in the leg at Creeslough Gardens at around 21:30 on Wednesday night. It is understood that victim is in his 40s and his injuries are not life threatening.

Two people have been injured in separate paramilitary-style shooting attacks in Belfast. In the Conway Street area of North Belfast a 17-year-old was shot in the leg by two masked men shortly before 11.00pm on Tuesday night. Earlier a 20-year-old was shot in the leg in the Tullycarnet area of east Belfast at around 10.30pm.

Man And Woman Shot In West Belfast
A man and woman, aged in their 50s, have been shot in the legs in west Belfast. The attack happened at a house in Norglen Parade shortly after 6.15pm on Thursday, 12 January. The victims, understood to be husband and wife, were taken to hospital to be treated, however their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
