Around 100 Imitation Firearms Seized In Belfast
Around 100 imitation firearms have been seized at commercial premises in Belfast.
The search was carried out by the Paramilitary Crime Taskforce on Wednesday, 24 January.
Detective Inspector Knox said: "We continue to disrupt the activities and organised criminality linked to paramilitaries.
"We have removed this substantial amount of imitation firearms which could potentially be used in organised crime."
The firearms have been taken away for further forensic examination.

Cannabis Worth £10,000 Seized In East Belfast
Police have seized £10,000 worth of cannabis plants during house searches in east Belfast. A quantity of fireworks and a number of imitation firearms were also discovered in the Pilot Street area on Thursday, 15 February. A 21-year-old man was arrested, however he has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Legislation targets imitation gun crimes
Tough new legislation to combat crime involving air guns and imitation firearms has been introduced into Northern Ireland. The Firearms (Amendment) (Northern Ireland) Order 2005 was passed in Parliament on Thursday and will become law in September.

Pair arrested over pharmacy robbery
A 23-year-old man is due to appear in Belfast Magistrates Court later today charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition in suspicious circumstances. A second man, who was also arrested in connection with armed robbery, has been released pending further inquiries.

Two Men Charged After £500,000 Of Cocaine Seized
Two men have been charged after the seizure of suspected cocaine, worth a street value of £500,000, in Fintona, County Tyrone. The Organised Crime Unit carried out raids in the area on Monday, 10 May. The suspects, aged 35 and 25, are to appear in court in Dungannon today, 12 May, accused of drugs, firearms and theft offences.
