Three People Released On Bail After Shooting In Co Down

Three people arrested following a shooting incident in Co Down have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Two men escaped injury after shots were fired at a flat in the Castleview area at around 6am on Sunday, 14 January.

The victims were not hurt but were left badly shaken, according to the police.

Two men and a woman have been released on bail.

Woman Charged With Murder Of Toddler
A 27-year-old woman arrested over the death of a three-year-old boy in Lisburn has been charged with his murder. Brendan Owens was found dead on 4 July at a property in Trinity Terrace, Lisburn. A post-mortem examination was carried out on the infant at the time, but it is understood the results were inconclusive.

Two Arrested Following West Belfast Shooting Released On Bail
Two men arrested in connection with a shooting in west Belfast have been released on police bail. The pair, aged 25 and 35, were detained in the Aspen Walk area of Dunmurry after a man was shot in the leg in the Glasvey Drive area on Tuesday. The victim is believed to be in a stable condition in hospital.

Policewoman released on bail after shooting colleague
A PSNI officer charged with the attempted murder of a colleague which she had an affair with, has today been released on bail. Diane Marie Northcott, 40, whose address was given as Newtownabbey police station, appeared in Belfast High Court earlier today charged with shooting colleague Laurence Smyth in their place of work in September this year.

Three People Released On Bail Following Cannabis Seizure
Three people arrested in following the seizure of cannabis in Maghera on Thursday have been released on bail. Cannabis plants worth approximately £125,000 were seized as well as two firearm and fireworks during house searches. Two women and a man were arrested on suspicion of possession and intent to supply.

Seven remanded in custody after Ballymena drugs raid
Eleven people have appeared in Larne Magistrates Court, charged in connection with an illegal heroin network, following a police operation in the Ballymena area yesterday. Ten men and one woman appeared in court facing 31 charges relating to heroin dealing, the dealing of Class C narcotics and the distribution of prescription drugs.
