Yellow Warning For Snow And Ice In Place Across NI
A yellow weather warning for snow and ice is in place until the evening of Wednesday 17 January, with snow, sleet and hail expected across NI.
Forecasters warn that snowfall of up to 20cm is expected on higher ground, with up to 8cm expected in more populated areas. They added that hail, lightning and blizzard conditions are also possible in certain areas.
There have also been warnings of possible power cuts and travel disruptions during the period of the weather warning.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow across Northern Ireland. The warning has been put in place until midnight on Friday, 13 January, and gales of up to 60mph are expected. On Thursday, 12 January, temperatures are expected to plummet to -1 degrees in some areas overnight.

The Met Office has issued a number of weather warnings across Northern Ireland. A yellow weather warning is in place from 2pm on Thursday until 10pm on Friday. Heavy rain is expected throughout NI and winds with gusts of up to 60mph, possibly 80mph, over hills and exposed areas.

Snow Warning Upgraded To Amber
The Met Office has upgraded its latest weather warning for Northern Ireland. On Tuesday, the forecaster issued a 'yellow' alert for snow which is in place until 5pm today. This will then be replaced by an 'amber' alert as snow and icy conditions are expected to affect much of the region.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow on Wednesday, 11 January. The warning has been put in place until Thursday, 12 January, at 12pm. It is expected to turn a lot colder on Wednesday and very windy and frequent showers will develop.
