New Black Taxi Jobs Announced

Funding to create 26 new Black Taxi driver jobs has been announced by Sinn Féin Councillor Ciaran Beattie.

Cllr Beattie posted the news to his Facebook, and it is understood that the funding has been secured through Belfast City Council.

A jobs fair for hopeful drivers will be held at Cultúrlann on 01 February.

Northern Ireland fit out specialist Mivan has announced a major recruitment drive following a host of new orders. The Antrim-based firm will create 100 new jobs, with the first Recruitment Open Day taking place on Saturday 28 January from 10am to 3pm at Mivan's headquarters in Antrim.

Okto Technologies has announced it will create 80 new jobs after the Lisburn-based smart buildings tech developer secured new contracts worth £25m. The NI firm currently employs some 100 people in NI, Dublin and London. It is understood they have secured new contracts in the high-end residential and hospitality sectors.

Almac To Create Over 1,000 New Jobs Across NI
Pharmaceutical development and manufacturing organisation, Almac Group, has announced the creation of more than 1,000 new jobs across Northern Ireland. The jobs are part of a three-year global recruitment drive to hire 1,800 new staff across 120 different roles.

More than 300 new jobs are to be created by Convergys Corporation in Londonderry, Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster has announced. The American corporation will create 333 new jobs when it establishes a new customer services centre in Derry in collaboration with EE, the mobile phone network.
