Invest NI Announce Trade Mission To Sweden & Denmark
Invest NI have announced that it will be hosting a trade mission to Sweden and Denmark, inviting businesses to take advantage of the opportunities within the region.
Companies from Northern Ireland already export £88.5m in goods and services to Sweden and Denmark and this trade mission represents an opportunity for companies who are looking to expand into both countries.
Sweden
Sweden is a wealthy, prosperous and developed country. According to the World Bank it ranked 22nd for gross domestic product (GDP) globally. Additionally Sweden is one of the world leaders in investment into research and development (R&D) spending around 3% of GDP annually.
Sweden is the 10th easiest country in which to do business according to the World Bank Report 2017. English is widely used and Swedes are open-minded to new ideas and products.
Denmark
Denmark has one of the more robust economies in the EU. It has a wealthy, educated and open economy, receptive to UK products and investments. Danes are sophisticated buyers with a good reputation for paying suppliers on time.
Although small, it is also one of the most competitive economies in the world with an efficient workforce and highly developed infrastructure. Danish business is characterised by minimal bureaucracy, high education, robust purchasing power, ease of access and widespread use of the English language.
