Shots Fired At Car In L'Derry
Police have issued an appeal for witnesses following after shots were fired at a parked car in the Ballymagroarty area of L'Derry on Wednesday, 3 January.
Detective Inspector Lindsay Fisher said: "We received a report this afternoon that this incident occurred in the O'Casey Court area at around 10:30pm. The vehicle was parked outside a property. No one was in the car at the time.
"We would like to hear from anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area in and around the time of the shooting. Please get in touch with detectives at Strand Road on the non-emergency police number 101, quoting reference number 576 of 04/01/18.
"Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime."

Driver killed as car collides with lamppost
A 22-year-old man has been killed in a road traffic accident in Belfast. The accident occurred on the King's Road in Knock area shortly before midnight on Monday October 28. The man, who has not yet been named, died when his car struck a lamppost. No other vehicles are believed to have been involved in the accident.

Police are appealing for information following an arson attack on a car in Co L'Derry. The vehicle was parked in the driveway of a house in the Temple Park area at around 12.30am on Sunday, 04 December. The car was destroyed and damage was also caused to the house. A woman and her three children who were in the house at the time were not injured.
