Police Searching For Suspect Device In Fermanagh

People in Fermanagh have been warned not to touch any suspicious objects in the Belcoo and Garrison areas.

The warning comes as police continue to search for a suspected explosive device believed to have been left in a wooded area between Cashel Cross in Fermanagh and Kiltyclogher in County Leitrim.

The PSNI have said that they have "very, very limited information" on the suspected device and while they are trying to follow the evidence, they are currently in a "very difficult position".

No homes have been evacuated as the search area is so vast, and police said that while they have a duty to keep people safe the information they have currently is "limited and uncooperative".

A similar incident was reported on 17 December, and police have said that they have not ruled out a connection between the too.
